Hi All,
I am getting illogical process in SAP. which is explained below with example:
1. Budget assigned - USD 100 (Original Budget)
2. Budget Released - USD 100
3. Budget Return - USD 100 (system allowed)
Now report says that budget assigned is NIL but budget released is USD 100. This is impractical in any scenario.
How can it be resolved.

Hi,
What report? Which FM system do you use: former or BCS?

Hi Eli,
I am using BCS.
Problem is not report but transaction posting. System should not allow return of budget if total budget is released.
For your purpose, i am checking report 'FMB_B02 - Budget View by Process' . If I use value type 'B1-Budget' value become '0' if i use value type 'R1-Release', it shows USD 100.

Do you have consumption on this line? If not, then by default system allows the budget to be negative.

HI Eli,
I have not booked consumption yet. But as already discussed:
Current budget = 0
but Released budget is still USD 100 as return process has not affected released budget.
So i am able to book the commitment for USD 100 even though current budget has become NIL.

Hi,
Try replicating the situation: create budget on some line, release it and try to reduce. If you succeed, then open OSS message.

Hi
If you are using Release functionality then you have to explicitly perform one more transaction in FMBB of "Process:Return" for Value Type:Released. In case you are not using Release functionality then you wouldnt come across this situation as once you return the budget the same gets reduced from consumable as well.
I hope this will solve your doubt.

Hi Leomiten,
I think you did not get me properly.
My concern is at any point of time, release budget can not exceed the current budget value. It should always be less than or equal to current budget. So If I am reversing the current budget then system should always check that current budget is more than or equal to released value.
