Dear Friends,

We have upgraded the Oracle to 11G on our SRM development

system.

Now we have an issue with opening the shopping carts from below url.

http://ussapdjs00.corpnet2.com:8001/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/bbp_mon_sc?sap-

client=600

But we could able to open the shopping carts from SRM(JED) system

through SAPGUI.

When we try to open the shopping carts from the URL, it is througing

ABAP dumps as below after taking long time.

28.09.2010 14:15:45 ussapdjs00 SYM98632 600

C SYSTEM_CORE_DUMPED

ShrtText

Process terminated by signal 11.

With this issue, we could not able to release the system to users for

operations.

Can some one please help me on this with some solutions.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Srinivas

Hello Srinivas,

As suggested by Mark, 640_EX2 does not support Oracle 11, we have recently upgraded to 640_EX2 at a customer site, it only supports Oracle 10g.

Another possible issue is your SAP_BASIS patch level, I thought it might be too low, but check the PAM for more details.

Hello All,

Thanks for your response.

As per standard SAP upgrade guide "Database Upgrade Guide Upgrade to Oracle Database 11g Release 2 (11.2): UNIX "

=============

HOME 5.10 Updating the SAP Kernel from 640_REL to 640_EX2

If you are running a 640_REL kernel, you must update it to 640_EX2. We do not support running a 640_REL kernel with an Oracle 11.2 database.

Prerequisites

You have an SAP System running with 640_REL kernel and you just upgraded your Oracle 9.2.0.8 database to Oracle 11.2.

Procedure

Update your SAP kernel to 640_EX2, performing the kernel switch as described in SAP Note 1058988.

=============

We have upgraded our kernel to 640_EX2 with patch level 327.

Please help me on this.

Thanks...

OK.....

But reading the note through 640_EX2 is only linked to the 10G client.....

and you are running 11G...

So I'm confused....

Hello Srinivas,

Please read SAP Note 1398634

Oracle 11.2 for SAP Kernel 6.40_EX2, 7.x and higher
Oracle Version 11.2 will be released for these SAP kernel versions. In these kernel versions, basically only those SAP product versions that will still be at least part of SAP Extended Maintenance in 2010 will be released for Oracle 11.2.

Maybe your version of SRM isn't under SAP Extended maintenance in 2010.

Another note to lookout for is:

Note 1434131 - Release of Oracle 11.2 versions for older SAP versions

Also, please check if your BASIS patch level is okay.

Siddhesh

What is your operating system? From 'signal 11' I gather some kind of Unix.

And from 'signal 11' I also gather that an Oracle patch might be missing. Did you apply all of them, as described in the installation guide and relevant SAP notes?

Do not think your kernel is right or supported...

What is your SRM release..

I was referring to Oracle server patches.

Either ask the person who installed Oracle 11g.

Or you may find out with command opatch lsinventory.

And compare with the list from the corresponding SAP note.

(I haven't the number at hand, sorry.)

But that is not the client used by SAP kernel.

Have you installed the LATEST 10.2.0.4 oracle client?

Is the SAP kernel using it (properly configured the environment variables for the JEDADM user, not ORAJED)?

In addition, have you checked the stack trace created, usually it is on the DUMP?

Hi,

Pretty sure the 640_EXT kernel is not supported for 11g. Most likely your problem

Have a look @ https://service.sap.com/pam
