Filedownload UI Element - How it works?

Hello,

I'm new in Web Dynpro ABAP (I know WD Java). I have a function that returns a XSTRING,

1. I'm assigning this output context attribute to the "data" Filedownload object. But it is not showing me anything, it let save an empty archive.

2. Also I need to name the file as XML, I can set the filename but I cant set the archive extension.

I've tested the function in a program (not web dynpro) and it's working.

Can anyone help me?
