Installation stop at check DDIC password.

Hello everybody,

I am trying to install the IDES SR3 on windows (x64) and oracle.

but my installation is stop on the Check DDIC password phase.

I can log on using the user name DDIC and password 19920607.

So please suggest me How to solve the problem and continu

with the installation.

Just logon to the system and change the password of DDIC and try to continue the installation ...

Hi,

In my experience, this step usually fails when the kernel is out-of-date. Therefore the suggestion of downloading the latest kernel is worth a try, particularly as you're sure the password you entered is correct.

Hi Ganesh,

I had the similar problem when we were trying to install SAP,its the problem with SAP kernel CD what you have used,try download the latest kernel patch from market place extract the same and apply and retry the installation.

I have done the same way and I was able to over come the error.

HI,

NOw I have strange problem, I am able to log on frist time by using the standard DDIC password,

but after that I am unable to Logon.

Second thing, SAP MMC is shown in green color, when I am trying to log on by SAP logon pad

it does not show the SAP logon screen. I have been wait from last 30 Min

but till I am not get the SAP logon screen

At my PC two IP one for Loopback adpater second is the network IP

I am trying by using both but till not get sap logon screen

Also when I check the SAP MMC workprocess continuosly read the table REPORTEXT.

Please suggest me How to get the sap logon screen?

what may be problem?

Hi Ganesh,

Check if your database is up and running. Also, as suggested earlier update the kernel patch level. Hope this should resolve the issue.

Hi,

Try updating the kernel patch level to the latest. Also, check the command R3trans -d and paste the output here and at the time of installation did you give any master password?

At the time of installation I give the password.

But I can log on to the system using the DDIC standard password

Message Test logon to SAP system IDS failed

Solution : make sure that the system is started, that the user DDIC exists and that the password of user DDIC is correct"

I also check on the database level, User DDIC avaliable in all client with UFLAG= 0

Change this password to master password that you gave in starting of installation and then try.

As said above, change the standard password of DDIC to the master password which you have given at the time of installation and then retry the installation.
