Hi experts
What are the disadvantages of implementing SAP APO without SAP ECC?? Say we are currently using BAAN ERP and we are considering the posibility of implementing and APS system, and we strongly believe SAP APO is the system.
Please let me know what are the disadvantage of doing it this way? What are the technical risks?
PD: We are also thinking in change our ERP but we have considered doing it as stage 2.

David

Hi David,
In general, SAP APO is very famous for its seamless integration with any
systems both SAP and non-SAP systems.
But it is recommended to have all SAP systems in one platform to avoid
integration issues and data migration issues.
As such, there are no general issues going to happen when you use
other non-SAP systems for integration but the challenge during
maintenance, support etc., will be more when you are using non-SAP
systems.
Compatibility in support packs will also be a later part of issue.
