while installing BI system tried to add-on bi704 cont but patch shows error

hi Experts ,

here i installed one BI system and after i try to add BI 704 cont to that system

in saint i added that BI cont, after some time it shows error in the phase of IMPORT_PROPER AND the error message is in below

please reply what is the solution for below error

Hi Swati,

As per the error message, go to usr/sap/trans/tmp folder and rename the file SAPKK-704IFINBICONT.LSD to SAPKK-704IFINBICONT.LSD.old and then start the installation of add-on. It should work.

thanks for your Responce and yesterday i renamed that request and restarted the job again but i get the same error and the log is also same

Hi Swathi,

Check at OS level how may tp process are running. If you find more than one, then kill all the tp process. Then check for any entries in trbat and trjob tables. If you find any entries kindly delete them. Then again check in usr/sap/trans/tmp folder and rename the file there. After that try to carry on with the installation.

but i did not get you

i got in your words first i need to check how many tps are running if i get more that one i need to kill that

and after i need to delete in usr/sap/trans/tmp /bi contXXX also

is that correct

i have another dought

now i got error in applying patch (bi7.04)

now can i try to apply 7.05 patch is that possible

please clarefy my doubts

Hi Swati,

Yes, you have to kill all the tp process and then delete entries in trbat and trjob tables and rename files in tmp folder.

Regarding your other query to install 7.05 is not possible now. Either you have to completely install the 7.04 and then update it to 7.05 or reset the queue of 7.04 and then install 7.05. Now, reseting queue which struck in error state for 7.04 depends on which stage it has stopped and some times its not possible to reset the queue then need to restore the backup taken before the installation.

Hi Swathi,

You can delete the entries from TRBAT and TRJOB tables from SM30 tcode. Also, please go through the above link which should resolve your issue.
