NetWeaver BW 7.0 SP 11 to EhP1 SP07

Hi,

I prepare a upgrade.

When I read the best practice to upgrade to EHP1 :

We need to update with spam at least with Support Package-Stack 17/BI Patch 19.

But in [Note 1142832 - Installation Enhancement Package 1 for Netweaver 700: |https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1142832]

Usage type BI only: Support Package Requirements
If you use usage type BI in your system and want to update it to enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0, make sure that you fullfill one of the following requirements:

    * Either at least SAP_BW Support Package 19 (included in Support Package Stack 17) is installed in your system before you start the SAP Enhancement Package Installer

    * Or you include at least SAP_BW 7.01 SP07 (SAPKW70107) during the enhancement package installation.

So I am a little bit trouble.

Can I jump in one or in two steps ?

Two step = 1 ---> Update to SP17

2 -

> EhP1 SPS07

One step = EhP1 SPS07

But, in the first document and with SPS07, you have to update in SP17 and after install EhP1 SPS07.

I gonna try in one step.

Hi,

As you can see in the note specified by you that either you can upgrade SAP_BW component to SP17 and then start upgrade.

OR You can upgrade to atleast EHP1 SPS7.

You can choose any one option out of two.

I will go with the SAP note as they are updated more regularly. So good choice with going with EhP1 SPS07.

I guess you have specified the solution yourself. So either you can first upgrade to BW SP 19 or if you do not want to install the SP you need to include BW 7.01 SP07 as part of the EhP upgrade.

Not sure what you mean by "Can I jump in one or in two steps"
