What is a TAM order and how is it different from other type of orders?

I'm a newbie to SAP.

Recently in a project involving a client having SAP as their backbone, they said that TAM order is a different type of order, but unable to differentiate it.

I google around and I read something that say that TAM is a delivery order. If so, how is it different from other types of delivery order?

Could anyone help?

TAM is linked to a scheduling agreement of type LZM - (the basic difference between OR and TAM)
