Factory Calendar

Hello,

I have the following questions regarding factory calendar.

a) Factory calendar consists of holidays and working days. Factory calendar is assigned to plants,shipping point etc. Can someone explain how factory calendars effects the date calculation by means of a business example ?

b) Factory calendars are manually transportable. What it means ?. Do any changes in calendars need to be done directly in production ?

c) One of our idocs have failed and the error message is that factory calendar is not opened for yr 2011. How to open factory calendar for year 2011 ?

Hi,

Based on factory calender for a delivery date ...the loading date, goods isuue date etc., are calculated duly skipping the holidays if any in the period.

Changes in factory calender, we need to create transport manually and move it to production server..ie saving changes to calender will not get tranport request automatically.

for third one please go to T ocode Scal and check for the factory calender associated and extend it to 2011.

Hi ,

You can't do it production directly , configurre it developement sever and transport ,Factory calender is working calender for the plant ,& you can also set different calender for shipping point or maintain same calender for both shipping point &plant

Note-Shipping point can have different workinh hours and different working days , same with plant also
