Install ECC6 abap application server

Hi Expert,

I have a DB and application server on HP-UX 11.23 can I install the new application server on linux platform to use it with load balance configuration. Is have any conflict or effect for this solution ?

Hi,

Yes this kind of heterogeneous configuration is supported by SAP. You can install your application servers on separate servers hosted on different o/s (you can use redhat linux).

As far as load balancing is considered it has nothing to do with on which platform your AS is running, as long the AS is running the msg server of the CI should be able to route it to any AS installed on any server, any o/s.
