delivery problem

Dear experts,

To deliver quickly, some goods requires to deliver from producton line loaction. Thus those goods are not delivered from storage location (used for delivery). You know, users have little time to receive those goods from production line location to storage location (used for delivery). However, delivery is required to create until stock against the storage locations is available.

Any solutions? Plz advise. Many thanks.

Hi Cathy,

It mainly depends on business decision.. if this is constantly happening or if this is once in a while. If constantly this is happening, then you may want it automated, which you may configure in OVL3 for SLOC determination. Based on the Plant and Shipping Point, you can automatically determine the SLOC and carry out the GI immediately.

If this does not happen everyday, then yes, you may use the solution as advised by Lakshmipathi to add the particular S.Loc in MMSC and there you may change it manually as and when required to deliver from a different S.Loc other than the usual S.Loc used for delivery.

Dear the experts,

Sorry. I have not stated clearly. The production line location means a place used for prodution. You know, normally the goods is received by warehouse when it comes out from production line. It may cause problems if let some goods deliver from production line location.

Any more ideas?

If you dont want to delivery any material from production line, then dont maintain that storage location in MMSC

Go to MMSC and maintain the production storage location there. Now while creating delivery, you can change this storage location manually and do PGI
