storage location in outbound delivery

Dear experts,

Q: Without entering storage location in sales order, how to restrict storage locations when creating delivery? There're two requirements. One is delivery cannot automatically pick storage locations that is used for returns goods. The other is delivery should pick stroage locations that is used for the specific material type or distribution channel?

Background: MALA rule is applied to delivery and batch automatic determination (first in first out) as well. Without stock, delivery cannot be created. However, picking is not activated.

Example:

Material A against material type FERT is used to distribution channel 00. It has 3 batchs. The first one is 123 against returns storage location 1001. The second one is 456 against delivery storage location 1002. The third one is 789 against delivery storage location 1003 & 1004.

If the storage locations have sufficient stock, delivery automatically picks batch 123 against storage location 1001. If storage location 1001 has no stock, delivery picks batch 456. If storage location 1003 has no stock, delivery picks 789.

However, 1001 is used to returns goods, i.e., it cannot be used for delivery. Plus, storage location 1002 is used for other distribution channel & other material type. Thus delivery for material A should pick batch 789 from storage location 1003/1004.

Hi Cathy ,

Plz do the batch management with sorting activation, you can also set the self expiary date for those material in material production level,

With this system will do availablity check according to the sorting in batch management it sort the material according to self expiray date,

if the material available in the 1st st location, from that one according to the expiray date.

Automatic st location determination:

Maintain automatic st. location determination for the se two in configuration.
