I installed IDES ECC 6 on a Win 2003 64-bit server, running Oracle 10.2g.
I want to access this SAP instance globally. Do I have to install SAPRouter? Or can I just get a dynamic domain name and access SAP from anywhere in the world? How to do this? Thanks.
Hi Lifeng,
I am trying to install ECC6.0 IDES on MS server 2003. I have installed Oracle 10.2 and cannot find the SAP Installer application from downloaded files. I checked all downloaded files (for windows Server) and only find one SAPINST.EXE for ITS installation. Can you let me know which file I should start for SAP installation?
Thanks,
Chris

Make sure you have a license (in sense of a piece of paper for IDES) to do so.

Hi Wu,
I suggest to do this using SAP Router , As this is somewhat scure as compared to assigning direct public IP to your server.

Hi,
For router Configuration detail click here
[ROUTER|http://www.erpgenie.com/sapgenie/docs/SAP%20SNC%20CONFIGURATION.pdf]
how do I turn on the Netweaver Portal instead of using the SAP GUI interface?
I guess you are looking for SAP GUI for HTML to access SAP through Web Browser, Check This

When accessed via: http://localhost:8000/
This is not the URL you need to access , Go thorugh above provided link.
You should access using
