Availability Date for SRM 7 EhP1

Hi

does aybody have information about release dates of SRM 7 EhP1? Has ramp-up already started? Desperately waiting for some functionality promised with EhP1 like parallel approval for BRF workflow.

Hi

You can check with SAP for release date. But SRM 7.0 EHP1 (ECC 6.0 Ehp 5 is required) does not offer any change on Workflow. As far as parellal workflow is concerned, you can still achieve it in SRM 7.0 where you can send a work item to multiple people and get the step approved even if anyone of them approvers the cart. or through decision sets where multiple people can action on multiple set of items.

All core applications of SAP BUSINESS SUITE 7 INNOVATIONS 2010 are synchronized on a common release-to-customer date and constitute the stable core.

Enhancement packages deliver continuous innovation for this stable core. SAP BUSINESS SUITE 7 INNOVATIONS 2010 is based on Enhancement Packages for SAP CRM 7.0, SAP ERP 6.0, SAP SRM 7.0 and SAP SCM 7.0.

Hi Viren,

Great thanks about information.

We are going to implement SRM and currently we have SRM 7.0 which is with Netweaver EHp1 with ECC 6 ( EHp4)

As far as Bidding is concern , we need simillar functionalities like E-Sourcng in SRM Bidding Process like maintaing the details documentaion , MOM, Differnet Panels for selecting the Bids ...etc.....Currently We have only SRM 5.0 in IDES and from that we are unable to trace exatly what functionalites availble in SRM 7.0 ( or in future in SRM 7.0 EHP1) and from SRM help documnetion only "Processing Collaborative Bidding Events Using cFolders " mentioned .

Thanks for the replies.

Just to summarize Ramp-up is supposed to complete in Q2 2011. SRM 7 EhP1 supposed to be part he EhP release for the Business Suite.

In regards of parallel workflow:

There is some limitation of what kindf of parallelity you can achieve with BRF. The limitation is that you can not have two approvers who are both required to approve have the workitem at the same time. I am talking about a single item, so decision set does not help.

According to a presentation tht I saw on the content of EhP1 for SRM 7 this will e solved.
