Dear Friends,

I want to transfer present stock from Quality Inspection to unrestricted use ,

Steps Tried :-

1. QA32 = Inspection Lot is in created mode so its not allowing to transfer the lot ,so cant make usage decision.

2. MIGO reverse = Not Possible cos the material receipt in february 2010 month and reversal in sept 2010 is not allowed.

3. MB1B = Not allowing the stock transfer from Quality use to Unrestricted use as the stock type selected while migo receipt was Quality Use instead of Unrestricted Use.

Kindly suggest : -

Dear Prashant,

Thanks for the quick response,

The Status is showing only CHCR characteristic. And Inspection plan is set as task list, automatic, char. and the status also showes crtd mode. I tried this RAC3(Tcode) but its showing doesnt exist.

Thanks & Regards,

Gaurav Chopra

FYI

APNG - Approval not granted (You will have to approve the inspection lot)

BRRQ - Batch assignment required (Assign the batch)

CHCR - Characteristics must be created (Assign the characteristics to the inspection plan. In this case, you will have to reset the sample calculation of the lot in RAC3 & then again assign inspection plan to lot & calculate sample in transaction code QA02)

PREQ - Plan / Specification Required. (Assign inspection plan & calculate sample in QA02)

After completing the activities depending upon the statuses mentioned, the lot will be changed to Released status.

Hi,

THe status CHCR indicates that the inspection plan (& the characteristics in the inspection plan) have not been assigned to the inspection lot.

Pl. check whether the inspection plan has been assigned to the lot. This can be checked in Change Inspection Lot transaction (QA02) in tab 'Inspection Specifications'. If the 'Specification Selection' is blank, then the inspection plan has not been assigned to the lot. You can assign the inspection plan to the inspection lot by clicking on 'Task list / spec.' button. System will automatically assign the inspection plan (if unique inspection plan is present in system) or in case of multiple inspection plans you will have to select the plan manually. After the inspection plan has been assigned, you may calculate the sample by selecting button 'Smpl.' in tab 'Sample'. Then save the inspection lot. The status of the inspection lot will change & you will be able to post usage decision.

If your inspection lot does not contain any characteristics, then add the relevant characteristics to the inspection plan & then resent the sample size of the lot in transaction QAC3. After that follow procedure given in above paragraph.

If system indicates that the inspection lot is not present (& you have entered the inspection plan), then check the inspection plan for following points -

1) Inspection plan validity date (should be minimum 1 day before the GRN date)

2) Inspection plan lot size (lot size should fit in the plan lot size)

3) Inspection plan material & plant combination (same as that in inspection lot)

4) Vendor assignment to the plan (If any specific vendor is assigned to the lot then the plan will not be valid for material received from other vendors)

Above should resolve your query.

Regards,

Prashant

Hi,

Pl. find out the reason why inspection lot is in Created mode. Check for following statuses of the inspection lot -

Dear Prashant Kolhatkar,

First Option cant be done, as per management policy.

1) Cancel the Mateiral docuemnt with posting date as tody's date. I think this will work.

In Second Option

2) If the inspection lot is in created mode, find the reason due to which the lot is in created mode. This may be due to following reasons -

A . The Inspection Plan is maintained as said below. so the lot in created mode is not due to this.

a) Inspection plan is required (Inspect by task list tick maintained for the inspection type in mateiral master), but the same is not maintained. Maintain the inspection plan & then assign the same to the inspection lot manually & calculate sample.

B. Can you elaborate more about this second point B, moreover the tcode IPR4 does not exist in SAP..

b) Physical Sample is required, but the number of container not maintained (maintain the same in Change inspection lot change transaction) or physical sample is not approved (Approve the same in IPR4).

Thanks for your extended response..

I highly appriciate the effort you gave in the response to the problem .

Hi,

You have 2 options.

1) Cancel the Mateiral docuemnt with posting date as tody's date. I think this will work.

2) If the inspection lot is in created mode, find the reason due to which the lot is in created mode. This may be due to following reasons -

a) Inspection plan is required (Inspect by task list tick maintained for the inspection type in mateiral master), but the same is not maintained. Maintain the inspection plan & then assign the same to the inspection lot manually & calculate sample.

b) Physical Sample is required, but the number of container not maintained (maintain the same in Change inspection lot change transaction) or physical sample is not approved (Approve the same in IPR4).

After this the inspection lot will be released & the usage decision can be made.

Prashant
