Hi gurus,
We have problem with our AP check printing. The printer has signature card where our signature resides. The requirement is when signature card is not inserted then printer should not print signature on the check rather it should print check without signatue. Please advise me how to control this.
Thank You!!!
1. Install extra-sensory perception or hi-gain psychic antenna on SAP apps server, to receive insert/remove card signals from the printer; or
2. Always print the checks without a signature and tell the users the printer didn't respond to SAP query as to whether or not it had the card installed; or
3. Always print with a signature and tell the users the printer is lying to Windows about its true status; or
4. Find another job because you're working with crazy AP people
Seriously, isn't the intent of the signature card to put an image onto output? I thought that's why printers utilized these devices. If you always output from SAPScript, shouldn't some setup in the printer (when card is inserted) result in a signature image appearing in a specific place? In other words, why does this make any difference to SAP? Send always without a signature from SAPScript or SmartForms, and let printer sign or not sign the documents?
