Hi
how are texts maintained for different languages for webdynpro?
can the texts be translated? if so what is the process of doing translations?
Here are the steps:
1) From the view layout editor, Now go to menu bar and select GOTO from there select OTR
2) Now select the node with your package name and press on create button
3) Provide the alias names and respective texts
4) Similary create all the text aliases as per your business requirement
5) Now bind the text property of your UI element to the respective node in the OTR directory. using F4 you can see the complete list of the nodes created in OTR.
Note:
The webdynpro need to be assigned to a package if translation is to be used.

Hi follow the steps.
1. Run transaction SOTR_EDIT
2. Select Language as English
3. give the text you want to display in Web Dynpor View
4. Give Alias (should use same text without spaces, use underscore in place of spacs for alias).
5. Click Create button
6. Give package name.
7. Give object type WDYC for web dynpro
8. Click Save button
Your OTR is ready for use.
1. Copy the ote alias name.
2. goto web dynpro view.
3. Give the text for label as follows $OTR:ZLEGAL_OTR/REASON_CODE_DETAILS
Where ZLEGAL_OTR/REASON_CODE_DETAILS is the name of the OTR Alias and in that
ZLEGAL_OTR is the package.
Now you have all the text at one place so it will get changed as per the login language.
Hope this will help you.
Thanks & Regards,
Arvind
