Running development made in nwsd 7.1 in nwsd 7.0

Hi Sap Gears!

I'm doingt app in web dynpro java

I have a NetWeaver 7.0 and i'm using NWSD 7.0, but this version is a little confuse and i like more the NWSD 7.1 version

I have problem to deploy the app made in NWSD 7.1 into 7.0

There is some way of doing that without getting errors?

It is possible of doing this mix of versions?

Backward compatibility not possible. You can not deploy application from NWDS7.1 to EP7.0.

Hi,

There's source code compatibility only, no binary compatibility. Source code compatibility exists again only in the way that you can build for instance a 700 source on 710, the other way round it'll not work though.

You cannot deploy a 71 application to a 700 runtime system. You need to deploy it obviously to a 710 system. See more details how to deal with versions in my previous answer.

Hi,

That's correct, NWDS 7.1 which is CE and NWDS 7.0 are not compatible.

CE is based on Java 1.5, while NWDS 7.0 works with Java 1.4, hence, the deployment will not be possible in NWDS 7.0.
