Hello All
1) When sending HR data through PFAL , i noticed that when Period 'Today' is selected , it doesn't send complete data. Only on period as 'All' does it send all relationships.why is it so? All relationships are unlimited and should be valid today. none of the two options is working consistently and sometimes causing the BP relationship to be severed.
2) Since we are to bring in the data only in update mode after initial distribution, how will the employees or org units that are created later be brought in fully??
3) Should the change pointers be activated or the report pfal be scheduled in update mode. how to handle the mess ups due to bad/missing data in HR on a daily basis ?
Any replies will be highly appreciated
Thanks
Kedar
Hi
Always, when you send data at the time of cutover, then only we use PFAL, otherwise changes to SRM are sent via change pointer (via report RBDMIDOC)

ANSWER - This is because if the relationships existed prior to today, then the HR-SRM interface will only send Today's Updates. If the relationship was changed today, then SRM does not create any thing for what happened prior to today. so objects are updated properly when you select All Periods
2) Since we are to bring in the data only in update mode after initial distribution, how will the employees or org units that are created later be brought in fully??
ANSWER: As I said above, these changes are picked up by change pointer report RBDMIDOC in HR and you dont need to run PFAL for this
3) Should the change pointers be activated or the report pfal be scheduled in update mode. how to handle the mess ups due to bad/missing data in HR on a daily basis ?
ANSWER: Change pointers update the changes on daily basis.
You can migrate all users today or you can migrate selective and update/migrate the remaining later on

Hello
Wanted to add one more query there.
Suppose there are thousands of users in HR and SRm is going live only for a select few, is there any harm if we bring in only the selected users and their managers & bring in the others later?
What should be the ideal way to go?
Thanks
Kedar
