Question regarding APO BW upgrade with SCM System upgrade

Hello ,

We are upgrading our SCM system from SCM 4.0 TO SCM 7.1.

I have a question regarding BW with in APO .Currently we are using SAP_BW 3.0B version that have infosources,Data source,tranfer rules and update rules.

But when i checked with our Basis team they are telling me that with the upgarde of SCM 4 to SCM 7.1 ,BW will be upgraded to SAP_BW 7.01 .

According to my knowledge in BW 7.01 there will be Transformations and DTP Processes(and no infosources) .

So my question here is do we need to rebuild our BW(Data sources and Infocubes) with Transformations and DTP processes after upgrade. Or can we get our infosources and transfer rules and update rules after upgrade?

Hi,

We had upgraded SCM 4.1 to SCM 7.0. No need to change to DTP after upgrade. All the objects of previous version would be there and can be used as usual. But our BW upgrade is from 3.1 to BI 7.0.
