Customer data import issue

HI Experts!

I am importing data into my Customer repository using MDIS and am facing a problem.

There are 842 xml's in archive and only 71 record in Data manager,there are no records in exception folder.

please help troubleshoot!

Hi ,

Please try to import the xml files whose data is not visible in data manager through import manager and check what happening.

In this way you can easily check what are the reasons behind that.

Kindly try and revert back with your finding.

Hi,

Please check whether the records are in checkout mode or not. For that go to records pane in data manager and right click on any record, then you get an option Check_In/Out , select Check_In/Out and select All Versions. Then you can see the all the imported records. If you see only 71 records even after All Versions, records are not imported in to MDM.For that please check import action in your import map. The import action in import map might be SKIP so please change it to correct action such as update or create.

Hi Ravz,

It would be very hard to trouble shoot your issue over here because we dont know what is there in your import map. The best thing would be open 4 or 5 xml files and see the data might be there is duplicate data and your import map dont create a record for duplicate data.

The best thing in your case is to load 3 or 4 files manually via the import manager and see whether all the records will be uploaded or not. This way you know what you are actually doing and then you can automate your process.
