VC SP8 - OBDO System no Cubes found

hi,

we use NW2004s SP8 and the Visual Composer. I have create an OBDO system in the portal with the following connectionstring:

Provider=msolap;Data Source=<servername>

where is the reference for the cube? if i choose "find data service" in the vc and look for my olap system, no cubes are shown ("search returned no results").

the connection test in the portal is green.

Have you defined a system alias? If you have problems seeing your list of systems, that is addressed in this troubleshooting VC guide I put together. Check it out:
