Hi,
I would like to know how should i proceed in the following situation:
- I have created a quotation, where I sell 5 units of material A in position 0010.
- Then I create a saler order with reference to this quotation and I want it to create 5 different positions (one for each unit of material A).
In other words:
QUOTATION:
0010 MATERIAL A 5 UNITS
SALES ORDER:
0010 MATERIAL A 1 UNIT
0020 MATERIAL A 1 UNIT
0030 MATERIAL A 1 UNIT
0040 MATERIAL A 1 UNIT
0050 MATERIAL A 1 UNIT
Thanks in advance,
Luis.
Hi Luis,
That is not possible automatically.
If you really want it, you have to create sales order with reference to the quotation and then change the quantity for the first line. Then you have to manually add the remaining four lines ( in this case). However if you do this, these four lines will not have the document flow with the quotation. So you have to think of the implications and then enable the same.
Also the number of line items cannot be more than 999 in any of the sales order document. So if the quantity to be ordered is more than 999 units for all the line items of the quotation combined together, this functionality will not work. Consider this scenario also and then enable the process if at all you want to do.

Maybe you can try the Bill of Materials.
