Workflow Dump in Forms

We are using HCM Forms & Processes. When a form is initiated, it is routed to Manager to approve.

When Manager opens the workitem in MSS - UWL and approves everything works well.

However, if he tries to open this workitem in SAP business workplace (R/3), System displays a message : Workitem can be only be executed using Portal and the UWL. Once he sees this error, if he tries to open the same workitem in MSS - UWL, system goes into dump.

Also the workflow goes into inconsistent state after which manager is unable to open the form from his UWL (same assert condition failed in ST22 for each try).

The dump is shown at standard SAP Code

Has anyone faced similar issue in Workflow? Any note which will resolve this Issue?

As the message from GUI states the workitem can only be executed from the Portal. To prevent this issue in the future, you may consider implementing a BADi that will keep the work item from 'displaying' in the GUI inbox.

Issue is when the form is approved from SAP Inbox instead of Portal.

Once the approval is done only from Portal issue never appeared.

For the specific workflow, corrections were made to change the status
