Solved: Error in ICM trace file - SAP Community

Hi all,

I wanted to understand as to what this error corresponds to.

There are so many of them i am not able to understand as to what they mean.

Seems like ICM is failing to update something... can you post more data from the dev_icm trace?

The whole trace file is full of these type of errors. NiPConnect2: SiPeekPendConn and insert failed.Please help.Thanks.

The error here (WARNING => Connection request from (1/2/0) to host: <hostname>, service: 5586 failed (NI

ECONN_REFUSED)) means that the connection to the target server was refused and no more information has been supplied.

So I would check the target server to find out what is listening on port 5586 (strange port for a HTTP request) and verify why the connection was unavailable. If it is another ICM server then you can check the time stamp for more information in the dev_icm.

However just from the trace provided I cannot see exactly why the connection was refused.

Thanks for the response appreciate it.

I have the pasted the entries from the dev_icm trace file.

The scenario is like this.We have enterpirse portal in which the user gets the error page cannot be displayed.It is connected to SRM via web dispatcher.When we check the trace file this is the error we get.Thanks.

Netstat -ab would be fine. LSOF for Unix does the same job
