Storing a Counter In XI which Increments with each interface run..

Hi,

My interface is XI----> Web Service.Each time the interface executes succesfully ..i need to send a sequence number which increments by 1 with each run.Can I do it in xi???

If so,then how??

you can do a rfc lookup to sap custom table and get the counter. ask ur sapteam mate to write a fm which takes takes one value can be a mandatory field in ur source structure nd increments the value of counter var and return it as a response of rfc call.
