Create a BI client in SM7.0

To implement the E2E monitoring on SM, we need to create a BI client.

1) How to create a BI client on SM?

2) We have a client100 which is used for CHARM. Can we use the same client for E2E?

Hi,

For the BI client, please kindly refer to the master configuration guide, also you will need to check in the IMG under BI

setup->general setup for these

SETUP BI CLIENT

CREATE BI user at BI system

connect source system

It is necessary to create a BI client for solution manager diagnostics

and we recommend using a separate BI client .

The reason for the separate client are the DataSources.

These are not delivered with the BI content and the system

with the DataSources has to connect to the BI system as a

source system after activation of the DataSources in the source system.

In the active BI client the DataSources must be replicated and then

the content can be activated.

Please follow the recommendation in SPRO for the client copy in this

case as well.
