Logon Failed in CR for relational universe connected to Data Federator

Hi,

We are on Business Objects XI 3.1 SP3 on the server and the client, including the SAP Integration kit.

We have a universe based on a Data Federator connection. In the Data Federator, the connection is made to a Web Service. This Universe is a relational universe.

a. When we create a Web Intelligence report, we are able to view the correct data.

b. When we use Crystal Reports 2008 SP3, we are able to logon to the Universe, select the fields. After that we get a "Logon Failed" error.

We are aware that we get "Logon Failed" error in case of trying to connect to OLAP Universe within Crystal Reports. However we are definately not using an OLAP universe.

Has anyone faced a similar problem pertai?

Any help will be useful.

Hi,

We opened a case with SAP and were told that Universes based on Data Federator are not supported in Crystal Reports at this point of time.
