PPS cFolder

Hi friends,

We are using SRM 7.0. I have activated following business functions /SAPPSSRM/SRM_CROSS_INDUSTRIES and /SAPPSSRM/SRM_PPS for PPS.

Following software component installed in SRM 7.0 server.

1. CPRXRPM - SAP xRPM/cProjects/cFolders 4.50 (ABAP)

2. SRM_EXPL - SRM Extended Functionality for SRM_PLUS including SRM_PPS

3. SRM_EXT - SRM Extended Functionality fro SRM_SERVER including SRM_PPS

I would like to know about the cFolder .

1. Is it mandatory to installed SAP PLM for cFolder if PPS is using?

2. Is it possible to use cFolder and SRM 7.0 in same server?

3. Which software components required for cFolder?

4. How to configure cFolder?

After activation of PPS when I am trying to create Bid then I am getting an error message u201CCannot connect to cFolder system; two-envelope RFx cannot be createdu201D .

Please suggest me which necessary steps I have to configure.

1. Is it mandatory to installed SAP PLM for cFolder if PPS is using?

Yes, the purpose of C -folder is to hold all the documents when bid is created and published. It is a repository.

The size of some file can be 50 MB to 200 MB

2. Is it possible to use cFolder and SRM 7.0 in same server?

It is better to have a separate Server for C folder. You can also do parition in the SRM 7.0 server but it is not advisable.

because of cost most client want to be in the SRM 7.0 server . In future it will landup no space in the server

3. Which software components required for cFolder?

It is a SAP PLM module -Please ask your SAP PLM consultant to configure tehe c folder with SRM there are configuration stepts involved

Hi

C-Folder is a mandatory ADD-ON for PPS funtionality in SRM7.0 implementation specially for Two Envelope Bidding.

It's advisable that you maintain a seperate instance for C-Folder. As the main objective of C-Folder is document management.
