My sap system running very slowly

Hi Friends,

Recently I installed IDES ECC6.0 On Windows server 2003,Oracle 10.2.0.1.0.After Installation i run SGEN and perfomed all psot installation activites.

Now i am facing the problem system is running very slow while excuting any transaction it will took so much time and whenever i am trying to login Also taking so much time.

Kindly suggest any solutions .

Oracle 10.2.0.1.0 is not supported, you need to patch this to at least 10.2.0.2 and apply all the opatches.

Hi Kiran,

The issue is very generic and cannot conclude the solution without actually investigating the issue. There are many possibilities.

1. The hardware may be low on the server.

2. There might be some heavy reports running.

3. There might an issue with buffers.

4. There may be heavy load on the system.

5. Check if any expensive SQL statements which might be executing.

6. May not be enough work processes.

etc......etc.........

I suggest you to take some time and investigate the exact root cause of the issue and then work in it.
