error in deploying/updating LM-TOOLS

Hi Experts,

I would like to update my current current LM-TOOLS from 7.01.5.2 to 7.01.7.3 but while deploying it using JSPM i encountered revise status.. and here are the details.

Error: Unresolved dependencies found for the following SDAs:

1.: development component 'tc/cts/appl'/'sap.com'/'MAIN_NW701P07_C'/'3627031'/'0'

dependency:

name: 'tc/cts/transport_api'

vendor: 'sap.com'

There is no component either in SDM repository or in Deployment batch that resolves the dependency.

Deployment will be aborted.

Please advice.

Hi Tony,

Update LM-TOOLS from 7.01.5.2 to 7.01.7.3 means from 7.01 SP Stack5 to SP Stack 7 and the lastest patch.

Generally sap always recommends upgrading the whole stack, i.e, from SPS05 to SPS07, for all the used software components, not only LM-TOOLS, to avoid this kind of missing dependences issue.

Is that possible for you upgarde the whole SP stack?

Do you have any specific reason to upgarde LMTOOLS only?

The reason behind this is because im having an error prior to this, i am currently integrating my SRM 7.0 system to Enterprise Portal using configuration wizard: http://<hostname:port>/nwa. Error encoutered in BS: SRM Portal (Basic Configuration) V1 step 458 of 495 Error: Create PCD Folder.

Error:Exception during the import of the profile!"

My EP system is freshly upgdated from SPS 19 to EHP1 SPS05 while my SRM is freshly installed and updated from SRM 7 EHP1 SPS 03 to SPS 05.

i've read here that LMTOOLS should be updated to the latest patch. Im thinking that this maybe one step to resolve my error in config wizard.

Hi Tony

As per your scenarion, I believe what you need to apply is the lastest patch of LMTOOLS for the SP which you are running, i.e, SP05, so to be exact, what you should apply is this patch:

LMTOOLS05P_9-10005881.SCA - Patch 9 for LIFECYCLE MGMT TOOLS 7.01 SP05

The patch you are applying now is the lastest patch for SP07, while you system are running SP05 actually.

Please try to download and deploy LMTOOLS05P_9-10005881.SCA.

Thanks for the effort. I already deployed the LMTOOLS05P_9-10005881.SCA.

I will rerun again the configuration wizard in NWA http://<hostname:port>/nwa. Error encoutered in BS: SRM Portal (Basic Configuration) V1 step 458 of 495 Error: Create PCD Folder" hoping that patching LMTOOLS to the latest patch really solved my prior error. Thanks!

I already deployed LM-TOOLS successfully in EP but i still experience the same error "Create PCD Error" . Though my question here has been answered, i would like to ask one more question to Shimon Zafrir, becuase i still encounter my prior error.

is it possible to integrate SRM and EP using configuration wizard of Solution Manager at NWA? since you've mentiond deploying LMSERVICE..?

Try to download this package instead:

SMP-> download -> support packages and patches -> entry by applica

tion group -> SAP technology components -> SAP solution manager ->

JAVA stack -> SOLMANDIAG 7.01 ->LMSERVICE07P_1-20004805.SCA.

The is an apparent issue with the one you tried to download.

My apologies, i will be deploying LMTOOLS to Enterprise Portal. my plan is to integrate EP to SRM, and based on SAP Note 923359 -LMTOOLS should be updated to the latest patch before integrating it using config wizard. because currently im having an error in config wizard "http://<hostname:port>/nwa. Do you have any solution on how to integrate or to pass my error in 'Create PCD Folder' SRM 7 to Enterprise Portal automatically by using Configuration Wizard?
