Can EWM be implemented with ERP systems ?

Experts,

I am confused about implementing the EWM with ERP or SCM .I saw in a SAP website that the training for EWM requires the ERP and SCM both platforms .I don't understand this. Even for the certification in ERP (P_LEWM_64) , it includes the EWM functionality.Does this mean that even on ERP , can we implement the EWM ?

Yes, we have the option of implementing EWM in de-centralized mode (in SCM box) or centralized model within ECC6.0.
