SCM 7 installation starting instance failed

Dear Gurus,

I'm in the process of installing distributed SCM 7.01 SR1 on AIX 6.1 / Oracle.

The DI has been successfully installed, the sapinst stopped at step "start instance" after 10.5 minutes.

I check the instance, it's up and running already. I configure the GUI and I can see the logon screen. no error log shown in dev_w0 ... dev_ms under work.

start_TA1_DVEBMGS01.log shows no error too.

Anyone has a clue?

PS, I've tried to restart the OS, not working.

Hi,

If you are able to login to the SAP system and run TX: SICK with no errors.

Your installation is fine.

Check alert.log

If you find no errors anywhere but under sapinst_instdir and subdirectories, try modifying the keydb.xml.

Search for the term ERROR and replace it with OK.

Then start your sapinst with "Continue with old installation".

Hello everyone,

thanks for your attention. The issue has been resolved since I comment both the 3601/3901 in /etc/services and double check the DEFAULT.PFL, ensure the message server internal port is 3901.

Has you SAPINST terminated ? if yes , open sapinst.log and paste the phase where it shows the status ERROR.
