Hello, we have severall standalone Oracle Databases and we use Brtools for backup and restore. It works very well a while but after adding a new datafile to a tablespace we get the following error: BR0602E No valid SAP license found - please contact SAP
It's not possible to use the brtools again. We checked all SAP Notes special 320457, use several versions of brtools but nothing works.
What can we do? Has anybody an idea?
Regards horst
I met the same problem. Have you solved it ?
Thank you

Hi Horst,
Sorry for the late reply.
I would like suggest the following.
1. Find out what user are performing the brtools?
2. As that user, check using command "saplicense -show"
3. The error may be useful for further analysis
Thanks

Is it possible that we have to set a new entry in the initSID.sap ?

Hello Horst,
How did you add a datafile? Is there a log of that action?
For example, if you used brspace, there will be a log file with extension .tse.
And besides that:
The following is just a wild guess, and may be a silly idea, but for lack of other ideas:
Make sure Unix permissions and ownership for the new data file and its parent directory are exactly the same as for the old files.

Hello,
you only have standalone ORACLE DB without any SAP System on top - thats right ?? and you have no MLICHECK or SAPLIKEY tables inside your ORACLE DB - right ?
I think your problem is the version of your 10g ORACLE DB - '10.2.0.1.0 - this version never was released from SAP.
together with the statement in Note 320457
BR*Tools only usable for ORACLE DBs from SAP Components
I m not be sure but I think it is a possibility for your problem
Regards
Peter
OK, this is the trace output.
I hope you can help us. Everything works fine before we added a new datafile to a tablespace. After adding the datafile we get this error:

Hi,
As per the [SAP Note 912969 - BRTools 7.00 fails due to license problems|https://websmp230.sap-ag.de/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=912969], this issue is caused by a program error and the resolution steps are also available in the note itself.
If u have not come across the note, please go through the same and implement the corrections.
Hope this resolves ur issue.
Regards,
Varadharajan M
