Hello Ravi,
i have already migrated most of our SAP database to Oracle 11g R2.
Our BW landscape is the next and then in a few month we will probably migrate our central logistic system.
Until now i have no issues with 11g R2 - i only hit bug 9924116 every time i upgrade a database, but this should be no big deal. There is also a work around with the newest BR*Tools.
Regards
Stefan

Sure:
PRO: it's the only Oracle version currenly in general support.
PRO: it provides many new features, e.g. compression for tables, indexes, backups
CONTRA: it means you have to learn new stuff and implement something you're not used to.
Generally, the support argument just makes other considerations superflous.
As a SAP customer you basically have to follow the upgrade plans.

Lars

Nope - brtools 7.20 and higher totally support 11g.
And there are no general no-go problems known with 11g.
We (SAP) wouldn't recommend the upgrade not so strongly if there were such severe issues.
What you should do now, is to upgrade a test system and begin the test and check phase.
That way you can figure out how your reports would work on the new version.
regards,
Lars
