What has to be considered when establishing Jco connection from Enetreprise portal(701 last sps) to BI system(701 last sps).
When I enter Web Dynpro Content Administrator on Enterprise portal I should activate :
BI_MODELDATA
BI_METADATA
WD_ALV_MODELDATA_DEST
WD_ALV_METADATA_DEST
I assume this has to be done on Enterprise portal(if no please let me know).
The worse is I do not have the possibility to choose Message server, so I enter host name. after finishing status remains RED. I enter short name (not FQDN as servers can not ping each other via FQDN- is this the error?)
Thank you in advance for your hints and advices
Jan,
Try registering the system with a common SLD, you should then have the opportunity to select the server via a drop down box.

Hello,
At OS level for Portal, check latest log file: default_trace*.trc, under /usr/sap/<SAPSID>/JC<xx>/j2ee/cluster/server0/log
Immediately after you try to create a JCo connection and get the RED status for more details into the error.

Vishal
