Allocation strategy - Fill the shelf calculation

Hello,

I am configuring the Allocation strategy for Fill the shelf calculation in ECC 6.0 IS-Retail Platform. There is no standard allocation strategy available to fulfill this requirement, but a function module WSTR_ADD_LAYOUT_BOTTOM_UP & WSTR_ADD_LAYOUT_TOP_DOWN is used which is used in conjunction with the standard BW allocation strategies Bottom Up & Top down.

I would like to know how I would use this function module to be utilized and whether sales history of the article is necessary for calculation of the planned quantities.

Kindly guide me on this area.
