Background job status is showing released/Susp

Dear all,

i have checked the status of scheduled background job , its showing like below ,

Before Document Split i have never seen released/Susp in the scduled bckground job. Kindly advise what should i do status of Released/Susp

Note : we have done Document Spliting Activation in PROD.

By any chance did you execute BTCTRNS1 before the activity and forgot to run BTCTRNS2 later ?

I didnt execute BTCTRNS1 before the activity.

how should i execute the BTCTRNS2 (from SE38)

Hi ,

Yes BTCTRNS2 (from SE38) , should release those jobs , but to be honest you shouldn't release the jobs until you know how and why they where put on suspended mode ( i am assuming that they where not put on hold manually as indicated by you ).

From screen short you have attached seems most of the jobs have been rescheduled with different/same user , as long as normal operation is not effected dont release then now and do some more research.

well, you got your answer twice already.

Release/Susp is a special status.

this status can only be set by running BTCTRNS1 in SE38 (or SA38). So, this was run by:

1. you

2. another user or basis

3. an upgrade program (SAPUP)

if you are not in an upgrade or support pack, you can run BTCTRNS2 which will change their status to RELEASE.

I hope this is clear enough.
