MDIS Not Detecting Record In Ready Folder

Former Member

Hi Experts,

I am on a client where we are currently running a unit test from MDM 7.1 to ECC 6.0 (new

system client has installed - is eventually replacing their 4.7

system).

Trying to fully syndicate a vendor from MDM to ECC, and having it be

returned to ECC (with a vendor number that gets created in ECC and

updates in MDM).

I know I have done everything properly in setting up the connection to the new client system (created a new remote system, created an inbound and outbound port, created a syndication map and import map - and tested both).

The idoc record makes it to ECC, then the idoc will process through PI

successfully and end up in the inbound ready folder - and stops there.

There are about 4 files in the inbound ready folder that are just

sitting there and not getting processed by MDM.

I have set up the inbound port as automatic. I also have been

monitoring the port from the console and it says 'empty' even though there are files there. I also have

tried to connect to the port using import manager and cannot (the

port / import map is greyed out - meaning MDM thinks there is nothing

in the ready folder). I have also attached the MDIS log - and it says

nothing about import errors or even has anything in it about trying to

process the idoc.

Any ideas as to why this is not working?

Nichole

Hi Nichole,

I Agree with sudhanshu, the problem with path setting where your xml file is placed so make sure your define repository remote system inbound path.

Even if you are facing same problem then just verify & repair the repository

Hi,

I dont think this is user credential issue as if it was then in log file you will get the information.

Please check at mds.ini the distribution folder path.

I think there is mismatch between the the distribution path and the actaull path created.

This problem usually come when you upgrade between versions.

Nichole,

I agree with Satish.. Please check your login credentials for Import server. if you are on MDM 5.5 then check it in MDIS.INI file, else for MDM 7.1 mount import server under auxiliary server and set the correct credentials..

Also, give a try by restarting Import Server and MDM Server.

Hi Nichole,

Can you please check few things:

a) Port is configured as Automatic.

b) When you put first file and when we go to that port in Console and see the Status it shows as Empty. Then refresh the repository by View Menu --> Refresh then the status shows as Has Data.

If yes and then also if it doesnot load automatically then go to MDIS Log under: /usr/sap/MD1/MDIS01/log and see any errors like:

[MDS=Servername Repository=your repostiory name]: CatMgrClientWorker.Connect() failed. RC: 0xffaa0200 Invalid logon credentials

If you see then your credentials are wrong. Then go to mds.ini and add the user MDIS for your repository instead of Admin. I recently had the issue and this is how I resolved.
