Integrate scanner with PI system

Hi All,

I have a requirement in which a scanner scans the data and this data has to be send to SAP system immediately.

my doubt here is how to us PI to get the data from scanner.

Please Help me in this requirement and let me know if you need more information.

The scanner systems can send scanned docs to email IDs. So, we can also use MAIL Adapter.

i would like to know what are the other possibel ways to get data from scanner to PI.

Hi Hemant,

For connection between Scanner and PI use File adapter.

The process is , if you scanned one copy, The scanned file saves into the folder via NFS (Network File server).So XI/PI get the data from the folder via NFS/FTP.

And coming SAP side, you will use either RFC,IDOC ,proxy according to your requirement.

Hi Hemant,

Normally, If any scanned file saves into folder,Immediately your File adapter is processing take that file and sends to XI. No user are required to send this.

Normally Our FTP/NFS performs this way. But there is some analysation required for this Interface.
