Object reference for value list

Hi EXperts ,

Collection contains 3 columns , among them one YEAR column is a value list . (i.e. object picker . I have to select year from value list) . Now i want to set the value by default to YEAR Column .

Currently i saw 2 methods . gettimeperiod() , settimeperiod(value) .

Generally for extension field , icna get object and set object .. but how to point for a collection column. Any idea .. pls sugest

Hi Deepika,

I have an issue somewhat similar to this. I need to default a value for a drop down. THe filed is default payment term and in Supplier registration screen.

Can u help me how to default a value for a drop down?

Hi,

Once the field is created via an Extension, you need to goto Setup --> Extension Definition and pull up the relevant field. Then there is a Default Value tab that can be accessed in the Edit mode. In this tab the field named Default value will show you the value list value which was used in creating this field. Just select the desired value from here and it will show up on the UI to the user.
