Hi Experts,
Client requirement is to post the MDM Catalogue display link in their intranet. Users across business can search items and ask the shoppers to raise a cart. One person does shopping for all engineers in their department.
My client has the SAP Licences based on ESS / MSS where the shopping and Approval for SRM are part of it.
If they post the link in their intranet site, anyone in orgnaisation can click the link and browse the items, but they cannot add to shopping cart as it is display link. Technically the link will have a background user and password attached.
Does it call for any additional license? or any seperate permission from SAP?
Please share your experiences.

Create a Shopping cart Display role and assign a generic user. The department can make use of this generic user for displaying the catalog. But check with SAP regarding this practice.

Not sure about the license costs.
But, your client can create a URL iView with the SRM MDM Catalog Webdynpro UI URL with all the parameters in the URL iView definition. You can check with your Portal team to figure out how to do it. They only need URL, and webservice parameters as defined in catalog configuration in SRM.
