Hi,

We have received one issue, please find below the issue details.

User has created outbound delivery when the stock is zero. Kindly explain in which cases this can happen.

The process steps as below.

1. sales order created with confirmed qty 100 and delivery date as 9th Sept 2010, but user has created delivery on 2nd Sept when the stock qty is Zero. PGI has not done.

Thanks,

Balaji

Hello,

this in the standard behaviour of the system: the user can create a delivery also for future dates (when running transaction VL01N, for instance, he/she can put in the field "Selection date" a date which is in the future, and so can process a delivery scheduled in the future); what the system controls is that until the stock won't be available he/she won't be able to post the good issue.

Hope to be useful.

Best regards,

Andrea

user has created delivery on 2nd Sept when the
stock qty is Zero. PGI has not done.

This is a standard feature. System will consider for stock availability only if the user clicks the PGI button.

Hi,

Thanks for your response!

But user has given one more example that, he could not create delivery when the stock qty is zero.

Kindly advise.

Thanks,

Balaji

he could not create delivery when the stock qty is zero.

Definitely this statement is wrong. You can create a delivery and save without doing PGI when stock is not available. You can try yourself.

Hi

In your OVZ9 availability check config if check without RLT time is unticked system assumes it is check with RLT time

RLT time is maintained in MMR --MRP data

If that is blank system assumes it is zero days

System assumes that at end of zero days stock is available

In short system takes as stock is available and creates delivery

This could have happened in your case

But PGI cannnot happen

Try this scenario with RLT time maintained in your MMR or by ticking without RLT time in OVZ9

The real check happens at the time of PGI only

Hi Ramanathan,

I have checked it, in config it is unchecked.

But in MMR the total replenishment time is 30 days, doc created on 1st Sept 2010.

Please advise.

Thanks in advance!
