how Calculate Produce Server hardware configuration?

Hi all

wo have a NW 7.0 ehp1 SP7 .we use Portal and KM.

there is about 1000 User.

consider perfermance. so the produce server use how many cup ? Memory ? Hard disk capacity?

Hi,

I suppose you mean to size the Production system server.

The sizing of the server hardware will depend of different things.

You can do the sizing with the help of the SAP Quick Sizer.

The SAP quick sizer is a tool which is available online to do the sizing of SAP systems.

The quick sizer can be found at service.sap.com/quicksizer

You can go through the documentation provided on the URL and create the sizing project online.

The results obtained from the quick size rproject will provide you the SAPS rating of the server required and the memory and hard disk requirements that suit your needs.

what is SAPS?

My Server is HP ,so how many processors i need?

Hi,

SAPS is the rating SAP gives to the various servers of various manufacturers as per the capacity of that particular model.

Please go through the quick sizer tool documentation provided under Quick Sizer Tool --> Using the Quick Sizer --> Beginners

After you obtain an rating of SAPS, Memory & CPU from the quick sizer tool you can contact HP.

They will provide you with the rating in SAPS of your server.

Then you can check if it is sufficient against the SAPS rating needed as per the Quick Sizer tool.
