PO in Archived status

Hi All,

We are using SRM5.0 ECS.

After SC is created for 'Free text' requirement, PO is created. When looking at the Purchase order in 'Process Purchase orders',it is giving the message as 'Error while reading the PO in backend system, Inform system administration'. When looked into Item details it is showing the status of PO as 'Archived'.

This is happening only for random Purchase orders. Please let me know what could be the issue.

You may need to recreate the issue. then SAP can find out cause of the error

Symptom

Extended classic scenario.

When you display an archived Purchase Order, the message "Error while reading PO in backend system. Inform system administration" (BBP_CF 010) appears.

Other terms

BBP_CF010, ECS, PO, BUS2201, BUS2012

Reason and Prerequisites

Reason - program error

Prerequisite - the backend Purchase order has also been archived.

Solution

Please implement this note or the relevant Support Package.

With this note, the message "Document not available, may have been archived" (BBP_ARCHIVING 300) appears instead

Thanks Muthu for the quick response

Though the Note talks about the issue we are dealing with, at the same time we are not archiving any PO's,

After PO approval it shows ordered and in Process Purchased orders when clicked on item details it throws a pop up on the web saying Error while reading the PO backend.Inform System admin. When checked for follow on documents in check status for SC it shows the PO number with archived status.

The PO is not transferred to R/3. This happens randomly. Do you think the OSS note should be the i need to be taking.

OSS note talks about wrong message appearing for archived purchase order, this note is more in terms of if you are archiving, and then when clicked on Process PO , the error is displayed scenario.

you can challenge SAP if you recreate the same issue .

you need to help SAP for recreating the same issue. SAP can diagonise easily by drilling or debugging.

It's recommended to apply the note, meanwhile, did you have active bbp_doc_change_badi implementation? See tr:SE95, check whether have any relevant modifications .
