Hi,

can you please tell me what happens if you just specify for the DTR client ?

http://server:port/dtr (without trailing forward slash)

Can you please test again http://server:port/dtr/ (with trailing forward slash)

Thank you!

Hello Ervin,

both have the same result. But I think the Configuration Wizard in NWA set all the post steps automatically.

There are already Permissions. This problem should be solved 🐵

Hi,

yes, the wizard creates these principals, this is why I wanted to see the acl.xml.

Still it is strange why the / cannot be displayed in the ACL permissions view.

(Especially that you said that both are having the same result, however the one without trailing / should fail normally)

If you want to figure out this, then we can have a sapconnect meeting if you wish where you can share your screen to me and I can check things. If you want to have such a meeting, please open a ticket at SAP and refer my name (plus send the message number).

Else if you are fine with this behaviour, then I'll treat this thread as closed.

Thank you!

Hi,

yes, you are right. Normally this workaround is not necessry, but in case of some inconsistency indeed the parameter "clean" can be used in order to reset the plugins.

Please do not forget to remove the parameter "-clean" for the next NWDS start to avoid that your NWDS starts longer.

I am glad to hear that the problem has been resolved!

Hello Ervin,

one last question 🐵

I want to set the ACL´s. I create a client with url http://server:port/dtr/ and login with my user, who is in the group NWDI.Administrators.

In the guide I must set permission on root folder. But if I login to dtr, the hightes folder is "ws", not root.

Do you know this problem?

Hi,

I just tested this on 720 (I don't have 701 NWDS test client at the moment unfortunatelly) and it seems there it works as designed, I can show the "/" root path. Since I tested on 720 I assume this concept has not been changed. Could you please test again?

Further, can you please tell me how the file looks like on DTR:

http://host:port/dtr/ws/system/config/active/ACLs/byPath/acl.xml

Thank you!

Ervin

Hi Christian,

is it possible to open a ticket about this by us?

If you tell me the message number you created, I can pick it up, call you, and then we can check it together via an SAPCONNECT meeting.

Thank you!

Ervin

Hi,

perhaps you are looking for the effect in the wrong place?

I believe the effect of this setting can be tested in the most quick and easy way if you just check what kind of views are available in the DTR folder (Window -- Show View -- Other ... -- check the node DTR when the plugin is activated).

Thank you!

Problem solved.

Only one Parameter must be added to start NWDS.

- clean

after this, all plugins will be reloaded.

Look here:

[Link in SDN|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f06b95d3-3c49-2d10-0eaf-e10bce6cb426?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true]

After this, the renamed plugin.xml is activated

Hi Christian,

please move the file back, and achieve that the file with 5KB has the name plugin.xml, and the one with 2KB has the name plugin.xml.disabled. When it is done, you can start your NWDS.

Hello Ervin,

files are how you wrote. But without effect.

If I click right on the first upper entry in the repository browser, I got only these operations:

- Create Client

- Delete Client

- Show in --> Repos.Browser; --> Explorer (external)

- Sync

- Advanced Sync --> Sync to Date ; --> Forces Sync ; --> Sync Preview

- Remove from Client

- Properties

Best regards

Hi Christian,

this is the follow up of the thread

1. the location is fine.

2. indeed here you should have an "ACL permissions" view.

3. yes, I meant NWDS restart, i.e. close, open up again.

My question is the following. Can you please tell me the size of the plugin.xml and plugin.xml disabled?

the correct one (which allows the view) should be 5KB, the other one only 2KB.

Thank you and Best Regards,

Ervin

Hi Ervin,

2. this View isn´t available :o/

3. I did a normal exit and opens again.

The original XML after installing was 2Kb. The disabled and renamed XML is 5KB.

The old xml was moved by myself to a backupfolder.

Best regards

Christian
