Problem in Form builder when calling layout tabstrip

Hello @all,

The last days all work great, but since today when i call the layout tabstrip in transaction. There comes the error message popup :

Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Error Signature AppName: formde~1.exe AppVer: 8.2.3.4195 ModName: mfc80u.dll

ModVer: 8.0.50727.4053 Offset: 0002ed52.

I dont know, why i hab this problem now.

i have reinstall SAP Gui , but the problem still exists. It also give a short dump message type X

Why do I have the problem, although everything worked all the time wonderfully,

Can anybody helps?

Did you upgrade the Adobe Designer at your end to 8.2 as this version is yet not supported for Adobe forms.

Downgrade to Adobe LivevCycle Designer 8.1 version.

ok, i will upgrade to 8.1.

But i dont know that this can help.

With 8.2 it worked great all the time up to today...

problem solved finally. It was a problem in the local file system.

I'm experiencing the same problem when displaying the Layout in the Form Builder, it was working fine until today. The error message is similar to what you have reported. I wonder how you fix it, appreciate if you could share your resolution, thank you..

Below are the message I got:

Error Message:

Adobe LiveCycle Designer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

AppName: formde~1.exe AppVer: 7.1.5020.1 ModName: mfc71u.dll

ModVer: 7.10.3077.0 Offset: 0002dc12

Another popup message after the above error:

FORMDE~1.EXE - Application Error

The instruction at "0x01684ce4" referenced memory at "0x03c00b08". the memory could not be "written"...

Please ignore my earlier message, I found the resolution in OSS note 1074025. I'm able to display/change the layout again.. Thanks..

Now the problem is again.

I am getting the Error message 'Could not start Layout Designer(See Long Text), When I try to Go the Layout Tab.

The Adobe designer is version 8.1 and the SAP Gui Version is 7.2 What can ii do.

Please help :-).

Hi Christopher,

The error message 'Could not start Layout Designer(See Long Text)u2019 indicates that the Adobe LiveCycle Designer is not installed on your machine. Please check if the ALD is installed in your machine.

Shure, ALD is installed on my system. I can start it as standalone application...
