Here is my situation.
I have many HUs with small quantities in my Warehouse.
I want to use LT10 to move the small quantity from one HU to another HU.
I do it successfully if I move my 2 HUs to 923 first.
But I would like to do it from My regular Storage Type.
Can it be done? Is anybody doing it? If so, what is involved?
Thanks for your feedback.
Thanks for your answer
I remember doing that too for SUs,
But I do not remember doing it for HUs.
So you are confirming you did it for HUs.
Any idea why it does give me following message when I try :
"STORAGE TYPE XXX DOES NOT ALLOW RE-PACKING - HUs CANNOT BE CHANGED"
Thanks again for your help.

I am sure someone knows the answer to that question.
Can this re-packing of small quantities in different HUs into one HU (consolidation) be achieved via LT10 or something similar.
I want to initiate a transaction that will create a TO for the operator to move content from HU1 to HU2 and the packing to take place automatically...
Can this be done through config using MVT 313 (or others) and Storage type 923 (non HU managed Storage Location) in BIN PACK.BIN? Using only config?
Or can that only be achieved via User EXIT or BAPI? If so, which ones?
Thanks
I would also be happy if I could just move HU1 into HU2 (Nesting HUs.
Hello,
As I wrote I've done it in my sandbox using LT01 without any problems. I've done it in bulk storage type in the same storage bin. Please provide some more information:
- what storage types and storage bins are engaged
- what WM MVT do you use?
Another solution is to move HUs to ST 923 where you can in HUPAST or HU02:
- completely unpack HU1
- pack appropriate quantity to HU2

Thanks Andrzej for your answer.
I am trying to do this within same Storage Type .
That Storage Type ( 62R )is configured as follows:
- SU management and SU CHECK Active.
- Mixed Stoarge is allowed
- Add to stock is allowed
- Stock Placement Strategy is 'L" : Next Empty BIN
- Stock Removal Strategy is "F" : FIFO
- Propose Post Change at Storage BIN is selected.
- HU Picking Control is "2" : Determined by Movement Type
- Both Stock Removal and Stock Placement require confirmation is selected
BINS in that Storage Type exist and the stock is PutAway there with TOs created as the result of packing in an Inbound Delivery...this works perfectly well and the HUs are in the BINs where they are expected.
I have set up Storage Type 923 and Created PACK.BIN.
If I use LT10 ( MVT 999) to move HUi and HU2 from 62R to 923/PACK.BIN and then use LT10 to move goods from HU1 to HU2 it works OK.
Again I use LT10 to move HU2 from 923/PACK.BIN to 62 R, it works perfectly well.
And tdesired result is achieved : Content of HU2 has been moved to HU1.
Waht I would expect system to do is following.....
- LT10 (MVT 999) from HU1 to HU2
- Should create a TO that would show source as being 62R / HU1 and Destination as 62R / HU2.
- System in background would take care of moving goods in and out of 923 as needed.
But this is what I expect....does not mean it works that way.....
Thanks in advance for your help.

LT01 (not LT10) works OK
In LT10 even if I set HU2 as destination SU system has generated TO with:
Source SU = HU1
Dest SU = HU1
it is not what I expected.
Andrzej
Hello,
I've done it using LT01 filling in second screen:
source SU: HU1
destination SU: HU2
