Invoke user's email client

In VC7.2 -

I would like a link that is displayed to the user to invoke his/her email client.

Can I do this with just the forms/tables/hyperlinks provided by VC and its Task/Configure panels?

Are there any initial configurations or settings that need to be done in CE to enable this functionality (that is if such an ability exists).

Hi,

As far as I know this works fine with a Hyperlink that has a URL Action. in the URL paremeter use the "mailto" HTML / javascript command with the desired email:

mailto:someone@his_company

Thanks Ehud. That was very helpful. (Sorry for not replying earlier, my time was taken up by other things and this stayed on the back-burner).

Although, since this opens an browser window, is there any way of closing this window? Or any other way that invokes it without using the HTTP protocol?
