Hi,

The trans/upgrade folder is only used during upgrade, so after the upgrade is done, you can delete all the files under this

directory.

But it is recommended to keep the folder, as it will be used during next upgrade.

And if you delete it, of course you can recreate it when next upgrade comes, but you also need to set the directory permission again. so it is recommended to keep the directory at least if you want to cleanup the disk.

Best Regards,

Thunder

Directory ehpi get created under \usr\sap\trans after EhP has been applied to the system. Another directory gets created under ehpi with the name of the <SID> of the system under which all the log files are stored in a SAR format of the upgrade. So as you move with the upgrade from Dev to QA and Prd, under ehpi you will see SID's of those systems which will store log files for those system created during the upgrade.

It is always helpful to keep them till you have upgraded your Production system. The become useful when sometimes one might run into an issue and want to see what message the log file had when the upgrade was done on Dev or QA system.

You need to check whats stored in \usr\sap\trans\upgrade as this directory is not created as part of EhP installation.

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
